Background

Crystal Ann Montoya lived harshly in Red Hook Brooklyn. Her father Juan was a stockbroker but when the economy crashed, he soon lost his job and took to drinking heavilly. Crystals mother Sharona is a nurse struggling to make things meat.
In school, Crystal was a loner, she hardly dealt with anyone if she didnt want to. Back home Juans drinking was getting worse as he would beat either Sharona or Crystal. The arguments also got worse as she pleaded him to sober up for the sake of Crystal but it fell on deaf ears.

At 14 Crystals life turned tragic. Coming home from school, she saw her mother crying and her father in a drunken rage. She confronted him, telling him to leave Sharona alone. When he tried to beat on her for interfering, she manifested her mutant powers. Long tendrils of blood formed from out of her forearms. She used these blood whips on her father after accidentally whipping her face from the backlash, leaving the right of her face with deep gash marks. In her anger, Crystal kills her drunken father after repeatedly whipping him with the blood whips. Sharona wakes and sees Juan in a bloody mess and Crystal standing over him with her half scarred face and the deadly blood whips on her arms. She screamed and Crystal soon ran off, fearing she would be rejected by her mother for killing her father.

The police soon brought her back home to Sharona. Her mother, while she was grateful to them that Crystal was well, she actually hated her for the fact that she is a mutant. She treated Crystals wounds but the scars were still prominent. Enough was enough for Crystal when she turned 18 not only was she tormented in school for her face which she tries to hide the scars, Her mother also made her life a living hell, tormenting and beating her repeatedly for being a 'freak'. Crystal soon extended her blood whips and took her rage out on her mother for tormenting her just because she was a mutant and soon, like her father before, began to whip her repeatedly, killing her as well.

Crystal soon fled, dropped out of school and fell into a down ward spiral of drugs using her whips to rob ATMs to pay for her fixes. When she was 19, being alone on the streets Crystal became a stripper. One night she attempted to rob some customers after a private dance but she was unsuccessful, the men were really 'government' agents sent to apprehend her. After a period of detoxification, She was given training for the control of her powers.

Dominique was being pressured by the F.L.A.G. Black Ops to have Crystal undergo the procedure anyway, but Dominque staged an 'accident' where Crystal supposedly 'perished'. Domnique told Crystal that she will expect to be repaid for this act of mercy and she must perform whatever task she assigns her to. This assignment is to be carried out on a day of her choosing at whatever time she sends her. Crystal has no choice but to agree to this, which she does and is 'free' of the Black Razors.

Crystal soon arrived in Angle Falls and soon began her new life. She met with Harriet Chin and Alexandra Pennington and they formed the Freak Four along with the Brutish Doll. They became villains for hire and did numerous burglaries, vandalism and even covert assassinations which were Crystals specialty much to Harriets displeasure as they were secretly carried out by F.L.A.G. When Boris VonGruten arrived from Germany, He soon enthralled the Freak Four and used them as henchwomen as well as additions to his 'harem' which he chose Harriet and Alexandra as his 'special ones' At the club Eclipse, Boris mesmerized the elastic girl Coil to add to his harem. Emily Heinz aka Ms.Blitzen and the Dynamic Five try to prevent this, but soon battled the Freak Four to delay them so Boris can escape to his mansion in Silent Hill.
Meanwhile Emily and the Dynamic Five discover where Boris is hiding out. In a rage, Emily storms he mansion and battles the Freak Four single handedly before Maddie and the rest of the team arrive to help her out.
Emily Kendras Atlantean natural ferocity was in full force against Boris who revealed himself to be a vampire. After Emily Kendra destroys him, his mental hold on the Freak Four was severed and Harriet soon escaped along with the rest of the team.

Recently, Harriet and the Freak Four robbed an armored car. While they were divvying up the cash, they met and battled with Ethan D`Khan aka Gravitas.
During the battle, Crystal used her blood whips on him slashing the madman across his back but with his gravity aura protecting him, he was able to deflect her attack and he used his power to make Crystal float in Zero G. Ethan takes over the team after he defeats Harriet and calls them The Fearsome Five then attempts to kidnap and ransom the Deputy Mayor, Cassandra Devereux. In a battle with the famous Soviet-Superwoman and Walkira, Ethan defeats them and immobilizes them using his gravity orb. Emily in a rage arrives and Ms.Blitzen battles her mad brother and is also defeated by him.
Harriet and Ethan soon escape but the rest of the Fearsome Five is in custody of the AFPD UTCR Unit holding cells awaiting to be incarserated into the Tartarus Prison until she was sprung along with her team mates by Angelique Wrath of the 9th. Circle


Powers/Abilities


Crystal is a mutant capable of generating and extending tendrils of her own blood from the underside of her forearms and when solidfied, become sharp as diamonds.

* These tendrils or blood whips can slice through steel plating and easily sever limbs.
Lasher can extend the size of the tendril whips to any length as they have elastic properties but she cannot form shapes with them like Coil.
* Crystal can ensnare a large group of people. The max she can ensnare is 10 but can ensnare more.
* Lasher can travel with her whips by making them sticky, enabling her to 'whip swing' from rooftop to rooftop and scale walls.
* Crystal has enhanced reflexes and agilitiy enabling her to dodge gunfire of any caliber. She very rarely gets hit. When she uses her agility,she can jump great lengths and heights giving her a superjump.
* The deadliest aspect of her whips is that Crystal can form blades with her blood as well and like Maddies ice scimitar and Mesmas TK blade, Crystal can also make these blades any length.



Crystal has extensive hand to hand combat training and is skilled in ju-jitsu and military style combat.
She has been trained in 2 handed style swordsmanship.
Blood Lasher also has knowledge of firearms and explosives.


Weapons

Angelique has given her the Carpathian Dragons, Twin pistols that feed off her blood and are bonded to her for life.
The guns use her own blood as ammunition and have a variety of different rounds from tracking to explosive.



Weakness

Like Coil, Crystal is weakened by cold. Her blood whips or blades become brittle and shatter.


Demeanor

Crystal is soft spoken when she wants to talk, but is merciless in battle to the point of being sadistic.
She has a fierce temper, worse then Emily Heinz aka Ms.Blitzen and can go into a berserker rage if anyone dares to touch her mask.

She is fiercely loyal to her only friends, Her team mates in the Fearsome Five including Ethan which she is actually developing feelings for.


Misc.

Crystal wears a full face mask to hide the deep garish scars she has across the right side of her face after accidentally whipping herself when she first manifested her powers.
She does not want to have plastic surgery to correct this, because its a reminder to her just how deadly her powers are.

Crystal has a tattoo of a sword and fist on her right breast; The symbol of the Black Razors.
