Crew of the U.S.S. Defiant NCC-1764-A

The U.S.S. Defiant NCC-1764-A is the sister ship and one of the last remaining of the Constitution Refit/Enterprise Subclasses to be in service and along with the U.S.S. Discovery NCC-1798, They both stand the test of time and lasted into the beginning of the 24th Century.


U.S.S. Defiant history

The original Constitution class U.S.S. Defiant NCC-1764 has a short and ill-fated history as she is one of the original 12 starships that was the bulk of Starfleet in the early to mid 23rd. Century. She vanished while surveying an unexplored region of space.

In 2268 on stardate 5793.1, The Enterprise was called by Starfleet to the unsurveyed region to locate the Defiant that vanished there three weeks ago. The Enterprise soon discovers the ship encased in a strange green glow while the sensors say it isn`t there. Kirk Spock Dr.Mc.Coy and Ensign Checkov beam aboard her wearing environmental suits. On the bridge the landing party soon discovers the ship is on red alert but find the Captain strangled in his command chair along with the rest of the bridge crew that were also dead.

While Kirk and Spock remain on the bridge to check the ships computer logs, Mc,Coy and Checkov split up to investigate the other sections of the ship to find any survivors or mutineers. At SickBay Mc.Coy discovers about a dozen people along with the ships surgeon and his nurse all dead. Several were heavily restrained on the sickbeds. In the doctors office Mc.Coy checks the log then reports to Kirk that everyone aboard had killed themselves and the Doctor couldn`t find a cause why. While making his report Mc.Coy informs Jim that his hand passed through a table and a bulkhead. Kirk orders him back.

At Environmental control and Engineering Checkov finds several dead bodies and reports to Jim that everyone is dead and there are no survivors. Kirk orders him back as well. Meanwhile aboard the Enterprise she was having power losses and had to keep some distance from the Defiant. Scotty tells Kirk that they have to get back aboard immediately before whatever affected the Defiant does the same to the Enterprise as well.

Because of that he also tells him that its strating to affect the transporter and that he can only transport the party three at a time. Kirk orders Spock Mc.Coy and Chekov back while he waits. After barely returning aboard the Enterprise, Spock orders Scotty to reset the transporter and bring Jim back but while doing so, the Defiant completely disappears along with Kirk.

After consoling Scotty that he did his best bring bach Jim, Spock returns to the bridge and informs him and Mc.Coy that the region of space they are now in is fractured and that the Defiant and Kirk have slipped into another dimension and while the Defiant is lost on the other side of it, Jim is caught in between because of the transporter beam and can interphase which would make him pass between dimensions that will occur in two hours since Jims environmental suit only has air for three and half.

While Spock was explaining the situation Checkov suddenly goes into an angered frenzy and tries to attack him, but Spock used the Vulcan nerve pinch on him to subdue him. Whatever affected the Defiants crew is slowly starting to affect the crew of the Enterprise too. Suddenly a Tholian ship appears and its commander Loskene tells Spock that the Enterprise is in the territory of the Tholian Alliance and must leave. Spock informs Loskene that the Enterprise is in midst of a rescue operation and cannot leave until interphase will occur.

After two hours pass Loskene attacks the Enterprise with its disruptors but got disabled after she fired her phasers on the Tholian ship. Loskenes prescense interrupts the time of the interphase and the Enterprise was damaged during the fire fight and started to drift. Meanwhile Lieutenant Uhura sees Kirk floating in his environemental suit in her quarters and soon faints after reporting to Spock that she seen him. In Sickbay Mc.Coy places her in a sickbed and she asks him if she will become like Checkov as he is placed in heavy restraints. He promises to her that he`ll find an antidote before that happens. He later makes one using a Klingon theragon derivative and gave it to Spock and Scotty in liquid form.

Loskene sends out a distress signal and two more Tholian ships respond and soon form an energy web around the Enterprise. The time for interphase is approaching and the only way to escape the Tholians web before it closes was to overload the warp engines when interphase occurs. Scotty was successful and the Enterprise slips between Dimensions and beams kirk back aboard in time before he lost his air supply and the Enterprise returns back to normal space. Unfortunately the Defiant wasn`t so lucky.


Constitution Refit class History


In 2270, the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 returned to Earth after completing her historic five year mission. During that year, the crew immediately adjusted to changes in the personnel. The most significant was to Captain James T. Kirk who was promoted to Rear Admiral and became the Chief of Starfleet Operations. Captain William Decker, son of the late Commodore Matt Decker, was given command of the Enterprise while Spock returned to Vulcan to start his Kolinahr.

The Enterprise herself was to undergo a total refurbishing from bow to stern. While the Constitution class itself proved to be very reliable and versatile, Starfleet thought it needed to be redesigned and The Enterprise was chosen to be the first to be refurbished. The planning for the new design began in 2272 and construction for the final design began in 2277 at the San Francisco Shipyards. Nearly 89% of the ship was completely modernized and upgraded. Most significantly were the sensor arrays that are now internalized without the need for an external sensor dish. The computer systems were also completely upgraded as well as improved weapons systems.

She was the first ship to have an in-line warp core which provided power to Linear Warp nacelles. The new nacelles generated a much greater power output then the original cylindrical nacelles. However, the straight pylons couldn`t properly support the new nacelles and would cause too much stress to the secondary hull. Thus, the entire secondary hull had to be reinforced both internally and externally. The addition of swayed back wing type linear pylons supported the new nacelles more effectively. The impulse engines were also completely overhauled which needed the saucer section to be redone in order to support new high output impulse engines.

The redesigned U.S.S. Enterprise was launched 18 months later in 2279 and during the V`Ger incident, design flaws became evident. The new nacelles and warp core needed a redesign of the dilithium chamber which was proven to be hazardous to effect proper repairs compared to previous chambers. The newly designed warp core caused an imbalance of the engines which created a worm hole at warp speed the inbalance was corrected by Commander Spock upon his return to Starfleet duty.

The most significant flaw was that the phasers were powered directly from the warp engines, so if they were to be offline, the ships weapons output was severely hampered. The problems were corrected and the Constitution Refit became the Enterprise subclass which is now a very powerful heavy cruiser compared to the original Constitution.

After refurbishing most of the remaining ships in the fleet of Constitutions that were left, The Class became the effective workhouse once again until 2285 when the Constitution Refit was slowly being phased out for the Excelsior Class. However ships of the class like the U.S.S. Discovery and U.S.S. Defiant have remained in service until the beginning of the 24th. Century. They were both retired and replaced by the Ambassador Class and later the Galaxy class.

Captain Veronica Tracey: Human 6' (C.O.)


Veronica Tracey is a decorated Captain but at Starfleet Academy she wasn`t taken seriously and was constantly heckled because her father Ronald Tracey was one of the first Captains in Starfleet to be court martialed for violating the Prime Directive at Omega IV. She ignored the snickering and persevered in her training and even gotten high marks for hand-to- hand combat and tactics. She served aboard the Republic and even then, she wasn`t taken seriously for her skills amongst the crew.

On Darwin IV a group of Klingons were attempting to annex the planet as part of the Empire. During negotiations, the Captain and First Officer were ambushed. Veronica and her security team defended her commanding officers by killing one Klingon and gravely injuring two others enabling them all to beam back up to the ship.

Three Klingon K`Tinga class cruisers pursued the Republic and attempted to surround her however at navigations Tracey did a rather unorthodox move as she had the Republic pivot 180 degrees starboard while firing her phasers. The attacking Klingon cruisers were confused and there by fired on themselves while taking hits from the Republic ending the conflict which the Klingons later withdrew from Darwin IV.

For her bravery and quick thinking she was rewarded two Christopher Pike Awards; For saving the Captain and First Officer as well as another for saving the Republic. Since that incident she has earned the respect from the Captain and crew and was given the nickname 'Ironhide.' She remained on the Republic and rose to the rank of Captain after nearly beating the no-win scenario of the Kobayashi-Maru. She has been given command of the Constitution Refit class U.S.S. Defiant NCC-1764-A. Her number one goal is to seek redemption for the Tracey name for her fathers bad deeds.

Veronica is the second youngest Captain in Starfleet as well as being single she is rumored to be a heartthrob to both men and women, but she is also considered a 'hardass.' She is very well-toned with short strawberry blond hair light green eyes and fairly large breasts.

Veronica does weightlifting gymnastics and stick fighting to stay in shape and usually spars with Ren Fuuma and Bulla Riggs.



Commander T`Vin: Vulcan 5' 11" (1st.O./Tactical)


T`Vin graduated from the Vulcan Science Academy and Starfleet Academy with high grades for tactics and served aboard the Lexington until Bob Wesley retired in 2269 to become an Ambassador. She remained on the Lexington and served as her Tactical officer until she became a full commander. She then transferred to the new Defiant since she needed a First Officer. T`Vin is now the First Officer under Veronica.

Like all Vulcans, T`Vin is logical and is also very blunt to the point. Her brother Sarda serves aboard the U.S.S. Pompeii NCC-1842 as the Chief Engineer after briefly serving aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise as the Assistant Chief engineer under Commander Montgomery Scott. She helped Sarda design the Illusion Projector used in the Federation class Dreadnaught U.S.S. Star Empire NCC-2331.

T`Vin and her brother Sarda are rare redheads she also has fairly large breasts as well which is also rare amongst Vulcan females. She is good friends with Lt. Commander M`Priss.



Lieutenant Commander M`Priss Cherrybuck: Andorian Shen [female] 5' 9" (2nd.O./Science)


M`Priss graduated from the Andorian Academy of Science and Starfleet Academy with high grades. She specializes in Astro physics and Astronomy. She served aboard the Lexington with T`Vin who is good friends with her and now serves aboard the Defiant as the Chief Science Officer. She often teases T`Vin about her red hair but it doesn't seem to affect her.

Being Andorian, M`Priss is highly emotional and often speaks loudly when she gets upset, but also has a highly active libido which she keeps in check while on duty.
She has long white hair and medium sized breasts.



Lieutenant Ren Fumma: Caitian 6' (Security/Weapons control)


Ren Fumma is a male Caitian and serves aboard the Defiant as chief Tactical/Security which is his first assignment. He has a knack for security and is a skilled fighter in hand to hand combat. While not as tall as most male Caitians that are his age, Ren makes up for it with his speed agility and prehensile tail.
He is also hairless like an Earth Egyptian Sphinx. Ren likes to workout with Bulla Riggs when he`s off-duty and often spars with Veronica in stick fighting. He is well toned and versed in 20th century Earth slangs which is one of his hobbies.



Lieutenant JG Luna Unduli: Rigellian 6' 2" (Communications)


Luna is from Rigel IV and is a skilled communications officer. She specializes in language as she can speak fluently in Vulcan, Andorian, even Romulan and Klingonese. She is good friends with Bulla Riggs the navigator and seeks a relationship with Lieutenant James Chang the Helm officer when off duty.
She is also best friends with Lieutenant JG Josie Lyons, the Communications Officer of the U.S.S. Demeter NCC-2017 and was also her roommate in Starfleet Academy. Luna taught Josie how to speak fluently in Vulcan and Klingonese and keeps in contact with her. She spends shore leave with her whenever they can.
Like all Rigellians Luna has gold skin strawberry blonde hair and large breasts



Commander Simon Drake: Human 5' 11' (C.M.O.)


Simon Drake serves aboard the Defiant and has been a practicing surgeon for nearly 20 years. He specializes in Vulcan and Klingon anatomy. He studied in the Vulcan Academy for Medicinal Arts with a Master degree for Anatomy and physiology.
Simon is toned with Frost blonde hair styled in a mullet.



Commander Tony Rasiglione: Human 6' (C.E.O.)


Tony is a highly skilled engineer and expert on warp drive technology. He served aboard the Enterprise as one of Mr Scotts assistants and is now Chief Engineer of the Defiant. He is a bit of a Casanova with women and likes to be the center of attention.
Tony is slightly muscular with curly black hair and blue eyes



Lieutenant James Chang: Human 5' 7" (Helm)


The Defiant is James` first assignment. He is a great shuttle pilot in the Academy and excels as the helm officer. He seeks a relationship with communications officer Luna Unduli.
James keeps fit and is well toned from his numerous hobbies when he`s off-duty and is good friends with Luna Unduli and Bulla Riggs.




Lieutenant Bulla Riggs: 4'11" Tellerite (Nav/Security)


Bulla Riggs is the first Tellerite female to join Starfleet and serve on aboard a starship when the Federation and Tellorian Confederacy made an alliance.

Bulla highly skilled at navigations and shuttle piloting at Starfleet Academy. Her skill at navigations is unique as she can pinpoint direction of a ship just by sight. she is also highly skilled in hand to hand combat and helps Ren Fuuma with security. The Defiant is her first assignment and she is good friends with Ren Fuuma Luna Unduli and James Chang. Luna fills in for her at navigations when she`s off duty.

Bulla is short and her slight muscular frame make her medium sized breasts appear larger. She is athletically toned with long curly dark brown hair and black eyes.
